Australian Saddles, Where Have You Been All My Life?

Fredi and I just picked up an Aussie saddle and all I can say is WOW is it comfortable.  We were skeptical and now I understand why endurance riders use them. If you have not yet tried one, I definitely say TRY IT!

For those of you who may not be aware, an Australian saddle is a hybrid between an English (Dressage) and Western saddle.  Kind of the best of both worlds.  You have the close contact of an English saddle, and the support of a Western Saddle.  Some of the saddles have a horn, some do not.  Some of them have western stirrups, and others have irons.

They are AWESOME aren’t they?!? The Aussie saddle was one of the first saddles I ever rode in and I’ve been hooked ever since…LOL! Anyway…I have one that looks nearly identical to the one pictured…the only noticable difference is that mine has a horn…LOVE it! :)
