A New Addition To Our Equine Herd

Yesterday Fredi and I went to pick up our new 12 year old horse Redford.  He is a beautiful Appendix Quarter Horse.  I guess there was some miscommunication on my part because his owners were not home.  Hopefully I get it straightened out and we bring him home by Wednesday.   Redford has been a bit of a pasture ornament for the last four years so he is desperately in need of training.  But, the lovely people who have had him are just wonderful animal lovers and he has been taken care of exceptionally well.  I do like to retrain horse’s who have been sitting in a pasture and give them a job.  His personality is very sweet, and he seems to have a good head on his shoulders.

.

I’m hoping to document our training progress.  It’s really going to be Fredi’s project for the first 30 days.  Watching Fredi train a horse is really amazing.  He is so gentle and the second he touches a horse you can see his Native American roots.

.

Be sure and check back for updates!
