Product Review - Flirt Boots
Wednesday, August 19th, 2009 | Horse Product Reviews
I was coaching at a horse show this weekend, and figured this would be the time to give my new Flirt Boots a test ride. I don’t usually like to break in boots or really even wear them when I’m coaching. I have a lot of running around to do, and I would prefer to wear sneakers if I don’t want to be sore or have blisters later.
.
Before I left the house for the day, I slipped on my boots. They didn’t exactly “slip” on nor were they difficult to put on either. I just stuck my fingers in the convenient pull holes and pulled them onto my foot. Usually my feet just go into my boots without any effort. I’ll tell you what, what a difference in fit! The Flirt Boots don’t clunk around like those other Western boots. They stay perfectly on your foot. My boots are so comfortable, I felt like I was wearing sneakers! During this particular horse show I was back and forth up and down and all around. By the end of the day, I didn’t have a single blister, my feet were not sore and I was able to look completely professional while maintaining complete comfort. My Chiropractor is always having to adjust my feet because I wear boots all day that clunk when I walk. She is going to love my new boots but she isn’t going to love the fact that I won’t be in her office as much.
.
I had not worn the boots to do my regular lessons in because they are just too cute I wanted to save them for special events. Even if you don’t ride, you will want to wear them for the comfort and look. I’m totally sold on these boots. I’ve worked in hundreds of boots and by far the Flirt is my favorite. I’m going to have to get another pair, one pair for everyday and one pair for special things.
.
I broke the boots in more than I had planned that day, I got stepped on and stood on by a horse. The horse was wearing shoes, so that was even worse. She stood on the top of my foot by my ankle and I ended up getting knocked down and pinned to the ground. If I had my sneakers on I hate to think what might have happened. My foot was swollen for a few days, but fortunately nothing major. As I made my way to sit down with an ice pack the first thing I said was, “Thank God I wore my new boots today, not only are they cute but they sure are functional!” I laughed but no one else did. I left one little part out, I’m pregnant. Which is what made the mishap not funny to anyone. On a side note, I actually had to order my boots up a half size from usual, but that may be because of the pregnancy.
.
I highly recommend Flirt Boots to riders, and non riders alike. They are as light as a sneaker yet as durable as a boot. I am totally sold on them and now a loyal fan. Whether you are in the market for a new pair of boots or not, now is the time. Your feet will thank you. Be sure and heck them out HERE.
