I found a great product for my boots, tack and shoes called Leather CPR. I was excited to review it, because I like to take care of my things. This product cleans and conditions all in one step. I figured it would work like any other leather cleaner and conditioner that I use, but I was actually WRONG. It worked better. I decided to test one boot and not the other. I’m so glad I did it that way or I would not have realized the results were so dramatic.

What is so amazing to me, is if you look at the boot on the left, you can see how the top of the boot is wider, and the bottom of the boot is kind of flat and has a worn in shape. The boot on the right that I used the product on, has taken back the shape that it had when I first took my boots out of the box when they were new! How amazing is that? When I put the boot that had been treated with the Leather CPR, it actually felt more comfortable than the other boot. I think because it felt snug but not tight. It was like a new boot with a broken in feel.
.
All I did to use the product was apply Leather CPR with a clean sponge, and then I rubbed it all over my boots. The product dissolved the dirt and I just wiped off the excess product and presto I had a new boot! Another nice feature is that the product comes in a really cool container. You can hang the container on a tack hook while you clean. Leather CPR is useful, time saving, and handy.

Leather CPR for Equestrian Tack is available nation wide at fine tack and farm supply stores or online at http://www.leathercpr.com

*CPR Cleaning Products provided Free product samples to test for this review but that did not sway my opinion, I truly like this product.

I bought some…waiting to run out of the other stuff before I tried it…maybe I should just donate the other stuff. Looks like it works great!
It does! I love it. I can’t believe how well it worked.

I’ve used it and really like the way it conditions old leather. However, it leaves a hard shell type of surface that can be really slippery on the flaps of your saddle. I made the mistake of cleaning my boots and saddle with it at a horse show and got jumped off. Now I only use it under the flaps and am sure to always use the sticky glue on the inside of my boots before I go in a class. Live & learn, but I do like the product.
Oh wow, I didn’t notice the shell when I used it Jim. I didn’t use it on English tack though, only western. We used it on four different saddles. I wet the sponge before I applied it, maybe that was the difference. Thanks for the heads up for my other readers.
